The Communication Officer hopeful for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, has revealed that he would work together with all stakeholders to implement a 10-POINT AGENDA with the goal of developing robust, strategic and vibrant communication machinery, capable of delivering victory to the NDC in 2020, if giving the nod.
Lawyer Gyamfi, made this revelation in Accra, when he officially declared his intention to contest for the position of National Communication Officer of the NDC in this year’s National Delegates Congress and to outline his agenda and outdoor the leadership of his team.
The 10-POINT AGENDA includes restructure and strengthen the communication structures of the NDC at all levels to ensure efficiency in the party’s communication setup.
SPECIAL INITIATIVE: he said he would collaborate with all stakeholders to introduce special communication programs and innovations which will expose the deceptions and incompetence of the Akufo-Addo government which will include: Moment of Truth [MOT] Series, Never Again Series, Communication for Grassroots Mobilization and Community-based Outreaches.
This programs he belief will rejuvenate the party’s base and advance the course of the NDC.
CONSTANT CAPACITY-BUILDING: The communications Department under his leadership will constantly train and provide the needed resources for all Regional and constituency Communication Officers and teams to effectively perform their roles.
RESEARCH-DRIVEN COMMUNICATION: A Sammy Gyamfi-led Communication Department will establish a proactive and responsive Research Department and put in place other information gathering system for the communication outfit of the party.
PANEL PLACEMENT SYSTEM: With the support of the leadership of the party, shall overhaul the current panel placement system and introduce a well-coordinated panel placement system for all political talk shows across the length and breadth of the country and shall also ensure discipline and strict compliance with communication strategy so as to achieve consistency and uniformity in the party’s communication machinery.
The communication Department under his leadership he said shall RECRUIT, TRAIN and MENTOR a new breed of communicators with special consideration for women and youth through a formalized system.
EFFECTIVE INFORMATION DISSEMINATION: Under his leadership, the party shall put in place timely, proactive and responsive systems of information dissemination to all communication structures at all levels of the party to ensure availability of information and uniformity in the party’s communication structure.
SOCIAL MEDIA: he said for the purposes of prosecuting an aggressive social media campaign towards the 2020 General Elections adding that he will work with the party’s Social Media communicators and other stakeholders to establish a well-coordinated Social Media Department and put in place a support system for Social Media Team.
The communication outfit he said shall deepen its collaboration with the media, academia, professional, Civil Society Organizations [CSOs] and other neutrals in all sectors of the nation, for the advancement of the agenda of the NDC, REWARD HARD-WORK AND LOYALTY.
He revealed that his campaign team [TEAM SAMMY GYAMFI] is made up of thousands of party supporters across the ten  regions of Ghana headed by Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodio Constituency.
Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, he disclosed has been a great servant of the NDC and a role model to most of the party’s youth including himself adding that his unalloyed love for the NDC, his passion for youth development and his desire to see an effective communication department of the NDC led him to offer to lead his cause as the Campaign Team Chairman.
Other members of Team Sammy Gyamfi include; Abass Adams Nurudeen [Operations Officer], Frank Pedro Asare [Deputy Operations Officer] David Salassie Anthony, also known as “Dee Accra Mayor” [Deputy Operations Officer], Baba Musah [Head of Communications], Alex Asafo Adjei [Deputy Head Communications] and Lawrence Roland Arthur [Deputy Head of Communications].
