Roads and Highways Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, has supported a hospital in Tamale to facilitate quality healthcare delivery in the Northern Region.

The Tamale West Hospital, since it was established years ago, has had challenges with basic hospital items and so according to the authorities; the donation could not have come at a better time.

Items donated by the Member of Parliament (MP), who doubles as the MP for Tamale Central, were 200 mattresses, bed spreads, 200 buckets, 200 plates, plastic cups and solar lanterns, running into hundreds of Ghana Cedis.

The Hospital located in the MP’s Constituency, could not thank him more. The Matron of the Hospital, Grace Azara Mununi, called on others to emulate the kind gesture of the Minister.

Ahead of the donation last Saturday, Alhaji Fuseini, led the National Democratic Congress (NDC) newly elected executives of the party, to clean up the environs of the Tamale West Hospital in the wake of the cholera outbreak.

“The clean-up exercise was also to send signals to the people to keep their surroundings clean to prevent the outbreak of diseases”, he said.

The Minister is in the region to join President John Dramani Mahama, to cut-sod to commence the expansion and upgrading process of the Tamale Airport to international standard. They also inspected some on-going road projects in the metropolis.
