The Herald, will like to put on record that it has no evidence to prove that the National Treasurer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah, has duped or defrauded members of his party by signing a contract on its behalf without the knowledge of the NPP General Secretary and NPP National Chairman.
What the newspaper sought to do, was to seek answers from nagging questions coming from members of the party.
We will like to retract and apologise unreservedly to Mr. Abankwa-Yeboah for any offense our publication dated March 23, 2016, have caused his image and reputation as result of misimpression.
In the meantime, we would like to state that, we will continue to discharge our civic responsibilities as Ghanaian newspaper committed to the development of Ghana.
We publish below a letter from Mr. Abankwa-Yeboah’s lawyers; Puozuing & Associates –
