A senior officer within the Police Administration, is been accused of leaking last December police promotional examination, which forced its cancellation.
The said officer, name withheld, according to credible sources, leaked the paper to his girlfriend (name withheld) who was among the junior officers, who were billed to write the promotional exams.
It is not clear, if the officer, will be sanctioned as his sexually induced action, has brought the name of the police Administration into disrepute, with the public wondering how a security agency, could fall prey to such an unpardonable act mostly associated with students sitting for the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) exams.
The leakage, which shocked many ahead of the Christmas festivities, was to promote Constables, Lance corporals, corporals, sergeants, inspectors and chief inspectors.
The police officers, had marched to the various centers for the exams on December 5, but were turned away, because the question paper had leaked and in circulation on various social media platforms, including WhatsApp.
It was earlier postponed because of the funeral of the Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, but had to be postponed again due to the leakage.
The paper was subsequently taken on December 18, however, the results are yet to be released and the promotion taking effect.
Many are hoping that the officer in question, will be severely punished to serve as deterrent to others.
The list was expected to be out by December 31, with the promotions taking effect from January 1, 2018, but this hasn’t happened yet.
However, information available to The Herald, indicates that the Administration is yet to make known the final results of the examination to officers, who are getting impatient by the day.
Affected officers are said not to be happy and have began asking questions, as their fate hang in the balance.
The police, has also explained that, it was making arrangement for some officers in the Flagstaff House and others, who went on Galamsey duties and were due for promotion, to also write the exams.
More to come!
