…Launches Most Beautiful Baby of The Year Competition

Global technology equipments company, Royal Philips has launched series of activities towards its 30th anniversary of Philips AVENT in Ghana.
For thirty years since its establishment, the company has worked hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals, clinicians and moms to develop a long series of first products for mothers with the latest, the Classic bottle which is a reinvention of previous iconic Classic bottle first introduced in 1984.
The anniversary launch was held during a press briefing at the labadi beach hotel onTuesday, September 23, by the officials of Philips led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Philips West Africa, Abdallah Khamis and TV Presenter, Kokui Selormey, who is the Ambassador for Philips AVENT 30years anniversary celebration in Ghana.
According to Philips, “during the last thirty years, we have developed a long series of ‘first’ products, from feeding bottles and breast pumps, right through to the later stages of children’s development with toddler feeding solutions”.
Born in 1984 with the introduction of the first anti-colic feeding bottle that set the standard for feeding bottles worldwide, we have been there for each and every precious first, supporting mothers and babies from pregnancy to playground.
Philips AVENT Baby Competition
As part of the activities marking the anniversary, Philips has established competition and is “looking for little stars aged between 0 and 18
months as part of the first Philips AVENT Baby of the Year Competition in Ghana”.
The organizers said, “All babies are cute, and we want parents in Ghana to share their cutest baby pictures with us and they could win great prizes along the way. To take part, parents simply send a recent picture of their baby, with name, date and place of birth and 30 words to describe their winning personality”.
Explaining further the competition at the press launch, Philips AVENT Ambassador said “entries can be sent between 23rd September to 21st October 2014 via in-store at participating retailers, WhatsApp (0501 294 806), Facebook/PhilipsAVENTGhana or email (email@example.com)”.
She explained that, “a judging panel will select the top 30 babies based on the best pictures and descriptions and they will face the public vote via our Facebook page from 25th October to 8th November 2014. Voters also win prizes”.
“Our three finalists will win great prizes including a photo-shoot with a leading photographer and a hamper of Philips AVENT products as well as Philips items for mummy and daddy.
The Ambassador noted that, “the winner will be announced at our 30th birthday party taking place in Accra in November 2014”.
The Viasat One TV Presenter said, “I am very happy to be a part of this celebration as Philips AVENT has been a part of my life for 4 years, during which I have given birth to three boys.I have used their products with all my children and it is great that they are implementing a campaign like this in Ghana which engages with mums and includes them as part of this milestone celebration.”

Meanwhile, Philips has also announced that, from 23rd September, customers can visit any participating retailer in Ghana and once you spend over Ghs100 you will be awarded with a soother.
Philips AVENT soothers have an orthodontic nipple that is symmetrical shaped and respect the natural development of your baby’s palette and teeth, even if the soother ends up upside down in the mouth.
