Petroleum Sector Gives Ghc1, 450,000 To Support Flood, Fire Victims


The Ministry of Petroleum, on behalf of the sector, have donated GHC1, 450,000 to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to support the relief efforts following the flood and fire incident at Kwame Nkrumah Circle on June 3, 2015.

Presenting the Cheque to NADMO, Petroleum Minister, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, said the devastating effects of the floods needed a collective effort of all, to bringing relief to affected persons.

For his part, National Coordinator of NADMO, Brigadier-General Francis Vib-Sanziri, lauded the benevolence of the petroleum sector, and pledged that the funds would be used judiciously.

The donation of GHC1, 450,000 was contributed by four agencies of the Petroleum Ministry namely; National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) and Ghana Oil (GOIL).
