The owner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra- based OZY Fm radio station, was awarded a Honorary Doctorate degree for his meritorious contribution towards the society by the King of Kings Bible University College and Seminary in collaboration with Global Association of Black Sheep Fold Outreach, an affiliate of Bush Gilson University of the United Kingdom (UK).
Mr Alfred Kwame Larbi, a native of Lartey in the Eastern Region was among a list of individuals awarded namely; Collins Frempong, Stephen Anderson, Thomas Sosu, William Gyeabour, Comfort Gbedema, Kassim Zacharia and Kingsley Ofori.
The rest are Nicholas Kakari, Apostle Micheal Agyekum and Douglas Appiah Sarkodie.
The awardees were businessmen, educationists and ministers of the gospel across the country.
Mr Isaac Ankomah and Faustina Torshie, were ordained as ministers of the gospel at the colourful ceremony organized at the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences in Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region
Welcoming the awardees, as well as well wishers at the ceremony, Bishop James Kweku Asante President of King of Kings Bible College and Seminary said, the core mandate of the school was to discover change makers to help correct some of the wrongs in the society by preaching the word.
He said, the college has the mandate to also identify people who are helping transform the Ghanaian society.
He said it was the hope of the college to assist in the development of the country and its citizens.
