Another Ghanaian, has been busted at the Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom (UK), in connection with the illicit drugs case “The Herald” reported last Friday, involving a popular hotelier and a financier of a Presidential candidate, whose name was given only as Kwadwo.
Whilst, Kwadwo made his journey to the queen’s land through Asia, the latest suspect, whose name has been withheld for some reasons, landed in the UK from Ghana.
The two Ghanaians, are said to be in the custody of the Scotland Yard according to The Herald’s sources.
Kwadwo, whose other name, has been revealed to be Dave, is said to have, after his arrest applied for bail in a UK Court, but was denied out-rightly.
Additional information, gathered by this paper indicates that, Kwadwo Dave, who is said to be involved in money laundering is known to be linked to a former President of Ghana.
He is known to have actively supported a 2012 presidential candidate with huge funds.
According to information, Kwadwo Dave, who is believed to be in his 50s, has over the year been backing a popular political party with funds.
Kwadwo Dave, is said to have been on the radar of the UK intelligence agencies, for years now, until he was finally busted at Heathrow Airport on arrival from some Asian countries, including China.
The hotelier is said to have donated a whopping US$2 million to a presidential candidate of a respected political party, during the last general elections.
His arrest is similar to the operations of the US intelligence, which led to the arrest of the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkoranza North, Eric Amoateng, who is packing his belongings from an American jail, to be repatriated back to Ghana, this July.
“The Herald’s” independent checks on the background of Kwadwo, revealed that he has a luxurious hotel, name withheld, and located at East Legon in Accra.
He is a friend to some respectable lawyers, football administrators, Sports Presenters, MPs and politicians.
