Obuasi-East NDC Women Wing Celebrates Vals Day With Orphanage

The Sissala-Hut branch women wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Obuasi East Constituency, went out to redefine the essence of valentine day by putting smiles on the faces of kids, who have no family to spend that special day with.

The February 14, which is a day known and marked all over the world for the celebration of love, the women wing led by their Women Organizer, Hajia Halimat Abdul Salam, has donated food items to PATMOS orphanage in Obuasi.

The items, worth GH400 cedis include, bags of rice, bags of sugar, cartons of cooking oil, cartons of cookies, and assorted drinks.

Presenting the items to Madam Akua Mmrah, who received the donation on behalf of the orphanage, Hajia Halimat Abdul Salam, said that this was the best form of love the NDC Sissala Hut branch women, could ever share with the underprivileged in society on such an occasion.

According to her, the donation is part of the group’s commitment towards keeping the well-being of the needy children by putting smiles on their faces.

Madam Akua Mmrah, expressed her gratitude for the gift and said the donation would remain a memorable gesture in the minds of the children and praised the women wing and the party for the generosity shown them.

The women organizer, Hajia Halimat, was accompanied by some executives of the party from different branches in the Obuasi-East Constituency of the NDC in Ashanti Region.
