The Management of the National Service Scheme, says it has released the second batch of placements for 10,388 national service personnel for 2015/2016 service year.
This brings the total number of national service personnel deployed so far to 64,277.
According to a statement signed by the Acting Executive Director, Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, the national service personnel deployed in this batch, will also serve in modules such as Educational Support, Agribusiness, Urban Traffic Management, Urban Sanitation Management, Community Health, Rural Development, Private Sector Support, and General Administration in the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies, and other User Agencies across the country.
The statement emphasized that the 2015/2016 service will begin on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. It, therefore, called on prospective national service personnel to log onto www.nss.gov.gh to check their placements and proceed to their regional postings to go through registration processes at the Scheme’s regional offices across the country before Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
The statement concluded that Management reiterates its earlier position that it would not encourage change of postings and therefore urged all prospective national service personnel to accept their placements as part of their contributions towards building a prosperous nation.
