Best Ghanaian performer representative for the annual Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality show, Elikem Kumordzie, has flatly denied media reports that he ever appeared in court as witness in the on-going divorce case, between ex-Ghanaian football international, Nii Odartey Lamptey and his wife Gloria Lamptey.
He has also debunked allegations that he fathered one of the three children Khadija, 19, Moyesha, 18, and Latifa ten, of the couple who are reported to have been married for the past 20 years.
In all, Nii and Gloria are reported to have had five children, however; two out of the five children died, leaving the three, who according to Mr. Lamptey, upon a DNA test, they are not his biological children, warranting a divorce.
“…I thought they were my children, but upon a DNA test, I got to know they are not my biological children. The issue is in court so I’m pleading……because it is a legal issue I don’t want to go through so many things, but I am 100% sure that the children are not mine after 20-years,” Odartey told Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Neat FM.
The 25-year-old fashion designer, who prefers to be called “Elikem the Tailor”, said this when he granted his first interview on the allegation last Thursday on Amanda Jissie’s “E Talk” show on GHone entertainment television.
“I was never in court….but you know what, once the story is not true, is easier to even come out of it more than to be affected by it. The day I was accused of being in court, I was actually spraying the bike Dillish bought for me.
I was at the workshop, spraying the bike you know, and the next day, the guys at the workshop were saying, ah, what time did you leave here to go to court?
And I was like what court? So I went online and read the thing and everyone was talking about it so much, so I went on twitter and asked, how come I was in court and I didn’t even know myself I was in court? So people started asking me were you really in court and I said no, I wasn’t”, he told Amanda.
The young Ghanaian, whose exploits in the “Chase House” attracted 28 -year-old beautiful Zimbabwean entrepreneur, Pokello Nare, to his heart, said he doubts the motive behind the allegations that he had something to do with the Lampteys, aside being mere friends.
Elikem, who has found another love in the make-believe industry and has already featured in movies such as, Cheaters, Bachelors, Hunters and others believes the allegation is being peddled by people who have been “paid to make it up”.
He added that the story came up immediately he came back from the BBA house with his new found love Pokello and he sensed that his enemies were just interested in ruining his celebrity status.
Explaining his relationship with Mrs. Lamptey and the children; Elikem admitted that he knew the woman in question, as well as her children who at the time of his education at the University of Ghana Legon, they used to come to the hostel where he was at the time.
According to him, though he knew Gloria, they never had any romantic relationship as being peddled by his accusers. Since the news broke last year, Elikem refused to react to the allegation except to partially react to it on social media twitter, questioning how he could have fathered the children at his age.
The 2013 BBA second runner-up, revealed that one presenters , Abeiku Santana Aggrey of Okay FM, who first mentioned his name as being one of the two men speculated to have fathered the children, has sent a message to him to profusely apologize.
