NDC Propaganda Secretary Advises Members To Shun Moneycracy

From Alhaji Bashiru Zakari, Kumasi

A staunch member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Yakubu Adam, alias Tony Aidoo, has cautioned every member of the party to guard against any monetary inducement and influences being employed by some aspirants for the upcoming election.

Tony Aidoo, who is also the Asawasi Constituency Propaganda Secretary noted that any monetary influence meant to change some of their great leaders like, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, and his competent leadership in this upcoming National election, will result in disastrous consequences in 2016.

In a statement issued in Kumasi, Tony Aidoo, warned that monetary inducement and influences should not be allowed to gain root in the great NDC.

He recalled that, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) decision to change its “winning team” just before the 2008 elections, resulted in their subsequent defeat.

According to him, he is privy to some political machinations, involving showering of monies to delegates as the National executive’s elections draw near and said, he trend was uncalled for.

“These attempts to influence the elections will undoubtedly collapse the structures and result in our defeat, “he stressed, pointing out that, “Moneycracy” is not known to the NDC.

Tony Aidoo explained that, Dr. Kwabena Adjei’s experience and commitment over the years is unsurpassed and that, he has over the years nurtured the grassroots, strengthened and sustained the very structures needed to retain power.

He said, calling him names amid mudslinging at this crucial time, all in the name of changing the old guards, would have adverse consequences for the party in the 2016 elections.

He indicated that, voting for Mr. Dan Abodakpi or Mr. Kofi Portuphy and the likes will spell doom for the party than voting for Dr. Kwabena Adjei, who is not tainted in anyway.

“I therefore urge all to recognize Dr. Kwabena Adjei’s effectiveness and vote for him for continuity and power”, he concluded.
