National Investment Bank Taking Over Northern Region


The National Investment Bank (NIB), on July 21, 2016, opened a branch in Yendi in the Northern Region.

This brings the total number of NIB branches in the country to forty-four (44) with Yendi, being the 5th Branch to be opened in the Northern Region.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the MD/CEO of NIB, John Kweku Asamoah, reiterated that NIB was poised to serve its numerous customers across the length and breadth of the country.

This he said was being done through branch expansion in all the regions in Ghana.

Mr. Asamoah, hinted the opening of the Suame branch in Ashanti Region by the end of August this year.

He added that the bank was prospecting for branch locations in Korle-bu, Dzorwulu, Mankessim, Haatso and Aflao, as well as the University of Ghana Medical School.

According to him, the bank intends to relocate the Techiman and Dansoman branches in the course of the year to create more space and convenience for customers.

He assured customers that, NIB, has a robust ICT facilities which would enable customers to access banking services in all regions and towns where NIB has a presence.

He also announced the bank’s intention to set up a Contact Centre for easy access to customers to ensure effective complaints management.

He has, therefore challenged the public to bank with NIB, because it has the track record which it amply demonstrated over the years of serving the needs of Industry and Commerce.

The Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, appealed to the public to patronize the services of NIB; “NIB is a public bank, hence the safety of customers money is assured”.

Alhaji Fuseini, urged NIB to consider farmers in its loan offerings in the area, since most of the people are farmers. This he said, would help boost economic activities in the area and the Country as well.
