Alhaji Sidiku Buari Fumes At False NPP Claims
Various attempts by some faceless individuals, as well as politicians linked to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to smear the President, John Dramani Mahama, by linking him to the twin girls of sultry actress, Nadia Buari, has fallen flat.
This follows an earlier claim that the president has fathered over 17 children, when in fact he had five, including an adopted little girl.
The claim that President Mahama, was the biological father of actress Nadia Buari’s twins, whose birth last month shocked many, went wild last week, especially on social media until yesterday when the father of the actress, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, came out to debunk the allegation.
Alhaji Sidiku Buari, fumed with anger over speculations by some media persons that President Mahama was the father of her daughter’s twin girls. He expressed disappointment about a supposed report that Nadia granted an interview disclosing that the president is the father of her twins.
The delivery of the twins, has become major topic for discussion in the Ghanaian media with many asking who their father is. There were reports that it was Jim Iyke, who was famously linked to the actress, but the Nollywood ‘bad boy’, has also subtly denied paternity of the girls.
Speaking to GLAM Africa magazine recently, Jim Iyke said, “You don’t need a soothsayer to tell you nor do you need a fake prophet to spell it out to you. I am the kind of man that drops hints; I do not have to tell the whole story, because it makes you lose your mystic, it makes you lose the strength of your advantage over people. But here I am with my BFF, an incredibly intelligent and beautiful person and I think that is what I need in my life”.
Also speaking in an interview with an Accra–based Hitz FM, Alhaji Buari, who is a former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), discredited the report, saying they are fabrications.
“That’s a big lie. Much as I respect some of the media people but some of them are just unbelievable what they put in the papers or what you hear on the radio and the television because in most cases they lie,” he refuted.
Questioning the source of the news, the former MUSIGA boss said, “Where on earth did this happen? Where will Nadia say that? In a Spanish radio station, isn’t that funny?
Just recently, somebody was showing me two pictures of twins which is far from the truth. Which were not the twins that Nadia had?”, debunking a supposed picture of the twins in the media. He stressed that he won’t be forced to divulge the identity of the father of the twins.
Speculative reports that the president is the father of his daughter’s twin, won’t force him to give the man’s identity; he said and added that “when it’s the time I
will let you know.”
Mr Buari, called on the media and the general public to respect the privacy of his daughter. “There are decent people who [don’t] like publicity,” he added.
Few weeks ago, the popular Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari, put to bed the said twins in far away United States of America (USA). The news of the twins shocked many, especially so when most people didn’t know the light-skinned actress was pregnant, let alone having twins.
Moments after news of her delivering twins sunk in the minds of Ghanaians, questions started popping up as to who the possible father of the twins was. Though Nadia’s father, confirmed the surprised news to the media, he refrained from mentioning the father of the children, leaving rumours of the father of the children to fester as some claimed it could be Nadia’s ex-lover Jim Iyke.
The twins means Nadia Buari currently has 3 children—with the first being the baby she had when she was a teenager, long before she became famous…
In recent past, some unscrupulous individuals and groups hiding behind social media platforms have been publishing falsehood, linking credible media houses as being behind these fabrications. Prominent among these stories with no credible sources was the one that said that the Vice-President, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur, was manhandled by the president at a Cabinet meeting.
In the case of Ms Buari’s story, websites who extensively published the false story narrated that “Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari, has confirmed to source that, the President Of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is the father of her twins.
They claimed that the pretty Ghanaian actress said, ‘I’m very confident who he is and one day Mahama will be too’: As a young mum, she is looking forward to hear from the President , H.E. John Mahama, the man who got me pregnant in a one-night stand and urges him to come forward now to make it known to the public .
Accompanying the story trending on various social media platforms such as Facebook, is a picture the president took with actors and actresses at the Flagstaff House, after he was sworn-in as the president in January 2013.
In the picture were familiar faces such as Pascaline Edwards, Jackie Appiah, Juliet Ibrahim, Kalsum Sinare, Sellasie Ibrahim, wife of a former Minister for Agriculture in the Jerry Rawlings administration, Ibrahim Adam; Deputy Minister for Tourism and Creative Culture, Dzifa Gomashie; Kofi Adjololo and presidential staffer, Baffour Bonney.
The entertainers, who wore white with Ghana flag to celebrate with President Mahama’s victory for being elected as the first gentleman of the land, had Nadia standing next to the president on his right with Dzifa Gomashie on his left.
