The administration of the Motor Traffic and Tranport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service, has opened a book of condolence at the MTTU headquarters in Accra to mourn the untimely death of the Deputy Supritennant of Police (DSP), Bismark Addae, who passed away last week, he was forty four (44) years old.
The book, is opened from nine(9) AM to five (5)PM everyday of the week for sympathisers and well wishers, who wish to pay their last to the memory of the late police officer.
DSP Addae, who until his untimely death, was the Acting Deputy of commander of the Central MTTU of the Ghana Police Service .
The police administration last Saturday organised a one week celebration for the late Addae, a native of the Western Region.
Briefing The Herald in Accra about the cause of death, the outgoing MTTU central commander, Chief Superintendent Anderson Fosu Arkaah, said the late DSP Bismark Addae died in his sleep on Wednesday May 21,2014, between the hours of six (6) AM in the morning.
According to him, the late Addae on Monday May 19, 2014 complained that he was not feeling well and was asked to go and see his physician.
Mr Arkaah, who has been transferred to head the Nima Divisional Police Command said, the late Addae returned to work on Tuesday and said the
physician has given him a clean bill of health and said his Blood Pressure was relatively low.
He said, upon hearing this , the various assignment were assigned for the following day, only to be called in the wee hours of the next morning that his second in command has passed onto eternal bliss in his sleep.
