Speaking at the presentation ceremony Mr. Salihu Abu, Customer Service and Credit Management Manager indicated that the celebration of Eidul Fitr is a moment when families and communities come together to share and strengthen their relationships, to be charitable towards the less privileged, and to learn to live in harmony with their neighbours.

He said, “MTN has supported the celebration of Eidul Fitr for the past six years and continues to do so because of the continuous relationship we have built with the Muslim community in Ghana.

During the presentation ceremony, members of the Muslim community were encouraged to nominate people to be part of the MTN Heroes of Change project.“MTN has launched Heroes of Change to award deserving members of the community. This year we are identifying people in our communities who have taken initiatives to improve the lives of the people in their communities. These people will be honored as Heroes of Change. We therefore urge you to look out for people in immediate communities and all over Ghana and nominate them for this project” Mr. Abu said.

The National Chief Imam thanked MTN for their continuous generosity towards the Muslim community in Ghana and also prayed for the continued success of MTN’s business.

This year’s Eidul Fitr would be celebrated on the 8th of August.
