This year’s competition is bent on not only projecting just the three winners but all the contestants to aid them initiate their various projects. All this was said at the launch of this year’s edition of the pageant at the tang palace hotel in Accra on Friday, April 5.
In a speech given by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Exclusive Events, Inna Maryam Patty, during the launch, she stated “to potential contestants watching or reading, we will like to reiterate that the miss Ghana brand symbolizes beauty with a purpose and as we have tried to showcase during the reign of miss Ghana brand ambassador each year. Last year, you can all attest to the fact that we mean business here. It has been and still is hard work, commitment and service to country. After all, at the end of hard work, we all get to have lots of fun. We don’t believe in winner takes it all. Every young lady who comes close to the brand; be it a contestant/ regional queen, eventual queen or runner up is a winner. Remember, heavy it is that wears the crown.”
The launch was attended by the deputy minister for tourism, arts and culture, Dr Ziblim Iddi and minister for gender, children and social protection, Madam Cynthia Morrison. These guests graced the event with their presence and commendations.
The reigning queen, Nana Ama Benson had this to say in an exclusive interview “the pageant has changed my life in many ways. Notable amongst them is helping others where they need help the most, how to seek for aids through proposals and presentations and also how to look my best for any occasion. I am no longer Nana Ama Benson but Miss Ghana 2018, isn’t that wonderful? That’s wonderful. That’s how the pageant has changed my life.”
This year’s Miss Ghana agent, will definitely be one of a kind and there is high expectation on the turn out for the auditions on July 1.
