The management of Medium and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), last week disbursed loans to women in some fourteen Communities in the Upper East Region to the tune of Gh¢130, 800, as part of its nationwide familiarization tour.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MASLOC, Madam Sedina Attionu Tamaklo, presented cheques to women groups in Wa Central and Nadowli Kaleo districts of the Region.
The disbursement in Hamile was led by Deputy CEO and assisted by the Member of Parliament (MP) and District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area.
Madam Tamakloe assisted by the Regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Suleiman, also presented fifteen Tricycles to the beneficiaries to be used as taxis for carting goods.
The Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Suleiman, assisted by the management of MASLOC also presented fifteen tricycles to some beneficiaries.
Speaking at the colourful ceremony in the region, Madam Tamakloe, advised the beneficiaries to endeavour to pay back the loans, so that others could also benefit from it in the future.
On his part, the Deputy CEO, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar, informed the beneficiaries that MASLOC would liaise with the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to create satellite offices in some districts very soon.
The management of MASLOC, led by Madam Tamakloe, is expected in other parts of the country, including the Volta Region in the coming days.
