…As She Disbursed GH¢73,000.00 To Kpando Traders
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Mrs. SedinamTamakloe Attionu, has thanked President John Dramani Mahama, for given the Institution a healthy budget to enable them disbursed more funds to Ghanaians across the country this year.
She disclosed this during the disbursement of GH¢73,800.00soft loan to 86 traders at Kpando in the Volta Region to expand their business.
Beneficiaries of the MASLOC soft loan are to enjoy 2 percent interest rate of which they would use six monthsto pay back through MASLOC account that have been opened at ADB in Kpando.
The loan facilities were given to both groups and individual. Whiles groupmembers can benefit from 100 to 500 Ghana cedis; individuals also stand the chance of
getting 1,000 to 10,000 Ghana cedis depending on the business.
However, in terms of guarantors, executives within the various groups are to endorsed for their members, as compared to individuals who are to bring one or two guarantors depending on the amount involved.
Meanwhile, one has to be a Ghanaian with age ranging from 18 to 65 years, operating a legal business including farmers; fish mongers etc before she or he can apply.
Furthermore, aspart of measures taken by MASLOC to ensure that beneficiaries used the loans for the purpose of which it was intended for, monitoring and evaluation team have been set-up to check their activities.
In a speech, the CEO of MASLOC, Mrs. Sedinam Tamakloe, disclosed that her outfit has disbursed huge sums of funds to support a lot of Ghanaians across the country.
He mentioned that MASLOC is operating a revolving system, saying it is out of the monies paid to them by beneficiaries that are given back to others.
She emphatically stated that MASLOC loans are notfor free neither it is a gift, norentreated beneficiaries to ensure that they pay back on time for others to also benefit from it.
According to Mrs. SedinamTamakloe, 756 people in the Volta Region, have so far benefited from 378,000 Ghana cedis and pledged her outfits’ commitment to disburse more funds if beneficiaries pay them on time.
She advised bothmen and women beneficiaries not to use the money on different things, but make sure they used them for the purpose of which they apply for.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Kpando, Hon. Adinyina thank President Mahama and Mrs. Sedinam Tamakloe and the entire management of MASLOC for having traders interest at heart and assured to support them recover the loans.
The Acting Regional Manager of MASLOC in the Volta Region, Mr. John Ali said, they don’t seatback folding their arms after given the loans out, but rather, they do a follow up to ensure that the monies are used for its purpose.
In an interview, some of the beneficiaries disclosed openly, their joy in getting the MASLOC loan, saying it will go a long way to enhance their businesses.
They expressed their appreciations to President Mahama for having Ghanaian traders at heart, assuring to pay back the monies on time for others to also stand the chance of benefiting them.
