After 25 years of operating on a small table at Osu-Ringway; a suburb in Accra, Margins Group, has now built an International Standards Organization (ISO) certified factory to produce intelligent cards in the sub-region.
Margins Group, was an innovative creation with hopefulness, started with $100 capital,but now has grown into a multinational African company headquartered in Africa, and in an African environment that has shown resilience and determination over the years.
Speaking at the programme to mark its 25 anniversary celebrations, Mr Moses Baiden, Group Executive Chairman, said the anniversary should reflect the core values of the Margins Group and communicate its vision and mission as a the leading intelligent cards company.
He said, this should tell the story of ‘’how we started, the phases and key events, breakthroughs and disappointments of the 25 yearsjourney.
“We must mark the Key highlights of our 25 years quest to build a multinational African company, specialized in meeting the needs of our customers in the areas of document presentation, protection, securitization and preservation.
And how we have evolved into a secure documents and cards, identification and secure data transactions company’’.
He said, Margins Group and its subsidiaries, would like to use the occasion to thank the team, past and present and acknowledged their critical and immense contributions to the future of the company.
We must acknowledge the blessings of God in guiding us and pray for His guidance now and in the future.
He maintained that, over the years, the team has focus on the aspiration to create a global, multicultural, dynamic fulfilling and exciting work environment that optimizes the performance of its human capital juxtaposing professionalism, and play optimally to deliver a fulfilling work life.
He said the company was minted with values that underpin strategic business goals that have been well articulated and understood by a global team.
He stressed that, the company’svalues are geared toward customer service, quality human capital and excellent working systems based core Information Communications Technology(ICT).
According to him, the activities that have been put together for the 25 anniversary, will reflect the brand of the Margins Group.
Unveiling the logo for the anniversary, Mr Rashid Pelpuo, Minister of State in –Charge of Public Private Partnership (PPP) said building businesses in Ghana has been difficult over the years because some business owners decide to eat the egg before it hatch.
In doing so, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has decided to involve the private sector in doing business to transform the economy.
“We want to develop this economy using the private sector because the story is no longer about the government but the privates sector’
It is the private sector which is giving the nation give exemplary life to the young people because business in Ghana will change the life of Ghanaians he added
Is about time we change the attitude of exporting raw materials out of the country by adding values to them.
