Manchester United are ready to make another bid for Cesc Fabregas that will see the Red Devils smash their club transfer record of £30.75 million which they paid to lure Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham.
According to the Daily Mail, the Premier League champions are preparing a third and final offer of £35 million to bring the former Arsenal man who Barcelona insist is not for sale to Old Trafford.
The Fabregas negotiation has already seen a £26 million and a £30 million bids from Manchester United rejected by Barcelona respectively.
The Barcelona midfielder has been quiet on the matter with his Barcelona teammates claiming he is happy at the Camp Nou.
Sources in England and friends of Fabregas in the Premier League insist the Spain international’s silence is as a result of how enticed he is by Manchester United’s offer and is open to a move to Old Trafford if Barcelona accepts the bid.
Fabregas has however returned to training at Barcelona after his extended break due to his participation in the Confederation Cup.
Manchester United will turn their attention to Real Madrid’s Luka Modric and Everton’s Marouane Fellaini if their last offer for Fabregas fails.
