The National Secretary of the Mahama Fun Club (MFC), Mr. Prince Kawunda, has appealed to all its members across the globe to step out and vigorously campaign for President John Dramani Mahama, to ensure a resounding victory for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, the club’s members are committed to ensuring a peaceful election that will see the NDC trounce the main opposition New Patriotic Party for the third time.
He explained that, the club would also not be cowed into any sinister and diabolic agenda in the quest to ensure that Mahama wins the November 7, polls adding that, “our determination to winning the upcoming elections one touch was unshakable’’.
Mr. Kawunda, made this comment at the launch of a campaign strategy dubbed ‘House to House and adansedieenkoaa (to wit witnessing) campaign in Accra.
He further stated that, incompetence has now become the hallmark of the 72-year old opposition leader, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, when the President is transforming the nation with his ‘changing lives, transforming Ghana agenda’.
“ We are surprise at Nana Addo and his NPP for describing the government appointees as incompetent adding that the NPP is now telling Ghanaians that the misfortunes of the ex-President Kufour’s administration were acts of incompetency?.
He explained that under Kufour Ghanaians witnessed the President awarding himself an expensive medal among others like the sale of Ghana Telecom and the payment of fat ex-gratia to its appointees.
‘If all these were failures and acts of incompetence, why Nana Addo didn’t questioned it,” he asked.
He said, this shows clearly that ex-President Kufour too had his weakness as President, but these did not override his notable achievements, he chalked in moving Ghana forward.
He took the opportunity to commend Kufour, explaining that he was competent as President, aside all his failures in government.
The club, further called Nana Addo incompetent for his autocratic leadership, mired with corruption and leadership struggle.
According to the club, the country’s political history is yet to witness Nana Addo’s incompetency going into the general elections with an Acting Chairman in the name of Freddie Blay and an Acting General Secretary in the name of John Boadu.
He called on the supporters and well-meaning Ghanaians, to disregard the tantrums of Nana Addo, and his cohorts in the NPP, and ensure massive victory for the President in the upcoming elections.
