Kokrokoo charities, “Spin a Cause” has been launched on Monday at the premises of Peace FM in Accra.
The programme is aimed at raising funds to purchase 30 incubators to help reduce the mortality rate of children born pre-mature every year.
According to the programmes director, Dennis Adu Twum, Spin for a Cause in collaboration with National Lottery, Jumia and Stanbic bank will be giving out gifts to persons who donate to help Kokrokoo charities foundation. He further asserted the donations were to be made through the purchase of tickets ranging 1 cedi, 2 cedis, 5 cedis, 10 cedis, 20 cedis and 50 cedis.
He stressed one had to scratch the back of a ticket to be able to get access to your gift. These gifts include ,amongst others, television sets, radio sets, Fabrics, food vouchers, roofing sheets.
He emphasized the more people purchase the tickets, the more funds are raised to purchase the incubators.
Nonetheless, he stated emphatically 31 incubators, have already been donated to various hospitals across the country, stating each incubator costs 10,000 US dollars.
He hoped they would be able to purchase 100 incubators, by the close of the year.
He again said one could dial *713*70# to donate to help the cause, adding to the fact that, one would receive a text message to show he or she, has won a gift or probably, donated to save a child’s life or spin the wheel at the Peace FM premise which one could stand the chance of winning an Airline Ticket, a Car, Home appliance, Phones and Tablets, amongst others.
Speaking with the Media, Chairman General, Kwame Sefa Kayi , appealed to the public to take active part towards raising funds to buy these infants incubators.
He, however, stressed that, spin the wheel would be arranged for persons in the northern part of the country due to the distance.
