J. N. Halm Launches Maiden Book


Acclaimed business columnist and customer service coach, J. N. Halm, launched his first book, “CUSTOMER ROMANCE: A New Feel of Customer Service” at an impressive event last Friday night at the African Regent Hotel.

The launch, which was deliberately timed to coincide with the Valentine Night was well attended by business people and a cross section of society. The official launching was done by the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye and the Council of State Member from the Central Region, Dr. P. A. Kuranchie.

In his speech, Mr. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, stated that the quality of customer service, especially in the public sector, was not the best and so a book seeking to address the issue was welcomed.

He said, J. N. Halm’s book was a masterpiece by all standards that he would recommend to anyone.

He stated that the first thing that really impressed him about the book was the cover design. He added that at a time when products from the country were struggling to compete with international brands in the quality of packaging, “CUSTOMER ROMANCE”, easily satisfies international standards.

Dr. Kuranchie, the Chairman of the occasion, congratulated Mr. Halm on the quality of the book. He stated that the author’s style of writing made reading the book very enjoyable. Mr. Felix Nyarko-Pong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Unibank Ghana Ltd, who supported the Chairman, asserted that the quality of the book by a young man like Mr. Halm was evidence that the future of the country was bright.

Other dignitaries present at the occasion included; Kwabena Akuamoah Agyekum, Executive Director of Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), Mrs. Margaret Takyi-Micah of the Customer Service Academy, Mr. Elias Hage, Regional Sales Manager of Teledata ICT, among others.
