During my awkward age, where access to goggle and the others were not so common, when I hear the name scammer, I knew guys who bear that name were senior men who have worked hard to gain their needs and wants through legal means to live a lap of luxury. Because these people are seen to be living in estates, huge mansions, and driving the Benzes, the Jaguars, the Wagons and the Honda Civics not knowing they had their resources through illegal means,
Scam is a fraudulent scheme performed by a dishonest individual, group or company in an attempt obtain money or something else of value. They traditionally reside in confidence tricks, where an individual would misrepresent themselves as someone with skill or authority. Scammers create fake online profiles using photos of other guiltless people, some of these pictures are stolen to communicate to white men mostly, they take advantage of people looking for romantic partners, often via dating websites, apps or social media such as Skype, Tango, whatsapp by pretending to be prospective companions… some forge new sim card and register as a foreign number you have no idea the fellow is not even in your country.
Online dating scammers can be spotted through the following attitude; asking you for money or financial information, contacting you from another country, refusing to meet in person or talk on the phone at times they also pay ladies who can communicate in that language to speak to the client, they claim to love you right away even thou they have not meet each other, pressuring you for your personal phone number, email address, when they get in touch with you on social media such as Skype and tango. They go every length to make you fall in love by sharing nude pictures, videos and texting romantic messages. another way to spot an online dating scammer is that they often repeat things or seeming disconnected from communication especially when the lady is unavailable to talk to you.
Scammers use these ways to gain money and other resources from innocent people. Let us all be keen-eyed and protect ourselves from these wicked ones, be alert to the fact that scams exist, know who you are dealing with, do not open suspicious texts, pop-up windows or click on links or attachment in emails, delete them: If unsure, verify the identity of the contact through an independent source such as phone book or online search. Things gained through unjust fraud are never secure, am not in to expose scammers but in due time, they will expose themselves for who they really are.
