Iduapriem Mine Donates Computers To Fiaseman SHS

As part of efforts to improve the quality of teaching and learning in its host communities, AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited which operates the Iduapriem Mine has donated five desktop computers and accessories to Fiaseman Senior High School (FIASEC) in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.

The donation of computers valued at GHc26,000 is in fulfilment of a pledge made by the Mine at the fourth Congregation of FIASEC Old Students Association in December 2018. It is expected to enhance the teaching and learning of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the school and also assist management in record keeping and other information management

Presenting the items, Mr Derrick Omari, Manager – Information Systems, said the Mine is committed to making positive impact on the lives of people in its host communities and believes education holds the key to realising this objective.

He indicated that the Iduapriem Mine would not relent in efforts to provide the needed supportto improve educational standards in the municipality as it works to create a sustainable future of shared value with all stakeholders, especially the youth.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Assistant Headmistress in charge of Administration, Madam Florence Tawiah, expressed gratitude to the Mine for the gesture and assured that they would put the computers to good use and ensure proper care at all times.
