Just a few people may know Felix Owusu Ankrah, Ghanaian born based in Amsterdam, (The Netherlands) but the young energetic musician says he is back after almost 17 years of stay to make a mark. Known in showbiz as Flexclusive, songs he has to his credit include, Shake It ft. Friction, Do My Thing, Good Woman, Anything For You (Remix) ft. Tiffany and Live Life ft Black.
Flexclusive has just released a new song The One featuring Tiffany. He describes his girl as the best thing that has ever happen to him on his latest album.
On the same song, Flexclusive says he would do anything for his girl to prove his love her. He goes on to say that he can even die for his girl if the need arises. His latest was produced by himself and mastered by Brownie Dutch in Holland.
Asked whether he really meant what he said in his song, Flexclusive said, he meant every word. “Most times musicians just rhyme for rhyming, but I am different. I usually tell a real life story about myself in my songs and that is what I have always done since I started doing music eight years ago.” Flexclusive said.
According to Flexclusive, Ghana have great musicians but he still believes he can survive the test of time. To him it is not going to easy with names like Sarkodie, 4X4, Stay Jay, R2bees making it big but says he can penetrate. “I do good music that is why I am very convinced penetrating is going to be easy but the fact I usually promote my music outside the country but I am back this time around to promote by song here.
He is happy about the positive remarks so far since he released his latest song The One. Flexclusive said he is putting finishing touches to his album which will be ready by the end of the year. The album will feature musicians like 4X4, Black Prophet, Tiffany and others.
About how he started music, Flexclusive who says Nas, Jay Z, Lucky Dube, Bob Marley, 2pac, Notorious B.I.G are his mentors started his career eight year when he bought studio equipment and started to produce his own tracks.
In 2008 he released his ﬁrst song”Home Is Where The Heart Is” which he dedicated to Ghana. In 2010 he dropped his second song “Before The Beginning” which is available on Itunes. Flexclusive’s musical style can best be described as Afrobeat/Hiplife. His music is a combination of Hiphop, R&B and Reggae styles fused with Ghanaian (West African) He entreats his fans to go online to listen to his latest track.
