Ghanaian actress Soraya Mensah has revealed that she is now a born again Christian and no longer lives the kind of lifestyle she used to live when she was in the world.
According to her, she gave her life to Christ some five years ago and “it has since been amazing. I feel so much peace. His love and grace overwhelm me. I don’t have to struggle and I don’t worry. As I have given my whole being to Him, He has been with me every step of the way and taking charge of all that I do…”
Soraya is currently behind an upcoming worship programme dubbed “Stars In Worship”, which will take place at the HOM auditorium at Madina Estates in Accra on Saturday, December 6.
The programme is being organised by HOM in conjunction with SSA Ventures under the theme, “You Are Too Needed To Be Wasted.”
Other celebrities like Joe Mettle, Nadia Buari, Trigmatic, KOD, MC Abbey, Joselyn Dumas, Soraya Mensah and Nollywood actor Kalu Ikeagwu are all on board. The rest are Naa Ashorkor, Nigerian comedian Klint the Drunk, Van Vicker, Becca, Elikem Kumoji, James Gardinar, Nana Ama McBrown, Cwesi Oteng, Juliet Ibrahim and Bismarck The Joker.
“I am involved because I am a strong believer in God and I am grateful for where He has placed me. As an actress, I inspire people, people follow what I do and wish to be like me as their role model. Being who I am, I must do something to impact on our people positively and involve God in all we do because it’s the believe in Him and our love for God which have brought us this far, not material things or a certain negative lifestyle as people assume.
We all have a role to play in bringing change to the people so if I could use my image as a public figure I should use it in a positive manner… So together with HOM ministry we decided to organise an event to bring people like me and my other colleagues to impact on our people positively and to worship the God who placed us where we are and gave us the gift we have,” she explained.
