To climax the twenty fifth anniversary celebrations of the establishment of HTC Bank, a leading home finance bank in the country, the electronic banking (Ebank) department, has introduced a Visa card that links customers to over one million banking outlets outside the country.
Speaking at the launch of the tailor manicured Visa card in Accra, Managing Director (MD) of HFC Bank, Dr Asare Akufo-Addo, said the bank would use its twenty fifth anniversary celebrations to highlight some of it major achievements over the years.
He said, the anniversary would be an avenue for the bank to trumpet some of the tailor made products, it has introduced in response to the needs of the customers over the years.
He said, even though the introduction of the Visa card was late on the part of the bank, the bank took time to consider the security features associated with the cards to ensure the convince of the customers and satisfy the needs of the customers.
He said electronic banking, has come to stay, since it is gradually becoming the face of banking in the twenty first century.
Explaining some the security features associated with the card, Joseph Acquah, the head of the Electronic Banking at HFC said, the card has a chip that would enable
customers shop online .
He said, the Visa debit card works on all Automated Teller (ATM) systems within and outside the country.
He said, the bank has introduced three categories of the card namely, gold, silver and platinum for the convenience of all categories of customers.
He explained customers of the Visa card, would be able to access their accounts in over two hundred countries across the world.
