An Accra based businessman, Isaac Obrepong Owusu -Djan, has been installed as
Nifahene of Gyadam Traditional Council in the Asante – Akim South District.
The forty-one year-old’s stool name is Nana Kwadwo
Obrempong Gyeaman Tufour Ampem I , is also the chief of Asante-Akim Gyadam- Asuogya.
Swearing the oath of allegiance to the paramount of Gyadam Traditional Council,
Nana Ayim Kumnipa II, advised the new Chief to carry himself with dignity and focus on how to bring development to his people.
He again asked the new Nifahene, to have the courage to speak the truth to serve the Gyadam Boampong Wereko Stool with sincerity.
Nana Kwadwo Obrempong Gyeaman Tufour Apem I, on his part, pledged to work hard with passion to bring progress to the area.
He said, government alone cannot provide all the needs of the people, unless traditional rulers and the people also compliment the efforts of the government by providing them with social amenities.
Nana Gyeaman Ampem I, disclosed to The Herald that plans, were far advanced to lease with both local and international Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) to bring the expected development to the area. .
