A new documentary making rounds which paints a bleak picture of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, positioning him as a violence prone unit, that will become very precariously dangerous if he is given political office.
The documentary, worked on by an independent private production company, Young Executives Forum, details chilling accounts by some members of the party.
Unlike Metro TV, the National Television station, Ghana Television (GTV), ADOM TV of Multimedia Group among others, are frustrating all “able and willing” efforts by the production company of this startling informative video to have it shown on their respective platforms.
In the video, some victims of Akufo-Addo’s Invincible Forces, are seen recounting horrible events of the last few years, such as how they were maimed with life threatening attacks for not supporting Mr. Akufo-Addo, although they are members of the NPP.
All the inner-party victimisations were due to the fact that during their intra-party primaries, they threw their support behind other, worthy, aspiring party leaders, and not the current flag-bearer, Akufo-Addo, nor his choices.
The worst part of this exposé is that, the perpetrators of the violence faced no consequences for their actions. After suffering grave abuses and victimisation, they speak of their pain and how they lost appetite for a party that has been plagued with violence and intolerance from Akufo-Addo, in the build-up to this Wednesday’s elections.
Insiders said, these victims are speaking out ahead of elections, so that the public, can see the dark side which the intemperate flagbearer, Akufo-Addo, does not want the public to see.
On record, they are seen and heard sharing emotional accounts of brutality at the hands of Akufo-Addo’s thugs; the Invincible Forces, who double as his private security personnel. These thugs are persons who they knew and had worked with cordially, under the leadership of the previous flag-bearer; John Agyekum Kufuor.
The Independent Production company of this video, have explained that, there is nothing unreal or illegal in the video, “indeed, after extensive consultation with our legal team, we can say vehemently that, the contents of this video, has got nothing to do with illegality; the video mirrors a true account from victims of Akufo-Addo’s horror and terror attacks. It came to us, as a shock, as to why GTV, Adom TV and others, will deliberately frustrate all efforts to get this informative video played on their platform for the benefit of the innocent and well-meaning Ghanaian at our own cost”.
The company went on, “What we find intriguing also is, the lame excuse from these two media houses in expressing censorship against the showing of this informative video. It is worthy to note that, if indeed the content had anything against existing media Laws, Metro TV wouldn’t have televised it.”
Young Executives Forum insisted that “if this deliberate schemes to suppress and frustrate our selfless efforts to inform Ghanaians about victims of such horror and terror attacks from intolerant Politicians such as Akufo-Addo, persist till Monday, December 5 2016; then it will only mean that, management of the Young Executive Network and Ghanaians will now be convinced that, GTV and ADOM TV are indeed, working in tandem with some of these intolerant, terrorist and violent prone Politicians to continue their primordial acts of inflicting brutal and life threatening attacks on persons with divergent views.”
