The Second annual Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) is set to open on Friday August 29, 2014 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra to showcase the immense potential of Ghana’s gardens and flowers for job creation and income generation.
The theme for the 11-day event is “Gardening for Value: Health, Beauty, Jobs and Income”.
The show brings together florists, horticulturalists, policy makers, home owners, garden lovers and real estate developers among others. Activities lined up for the show include an exhibition, a conference, workshops on gardening, fashion shows, picnics and other exciting activities.
Ghana’s first horticultural industry magazine called ‘Bloom’ which is dedicated to exploring opportunities within the industry will be launched at the show.
The Chief Executive of Stratcomm Africa, Ms Esther Cobbah, was excited about the positive response Stratcomm Africa has received from exhibitors and the public and said all was set for the opening of the exhibition on August 29, 2014.
She encouraged flower enthusiast, and public to patronize the exhibition to take advantage of the business opportunities that abound in garden and flowers.
