The Chairman and Managing Director (MD)of Carrier Africa, Mr. Giorgio Elia, has made a passionate appeal to the Ghanaian business community to adopt the idea of thinking local but act in a global way.
He said Ghana is replete with opportunities for businesses and it is for no reason that daily, foreigners troop into the country to transact various activities and asked that we take pride in that and use it to develop our nation.
Mr. Giorgio Elia made these observations at a reception held in his honour in Accra to signify the new partnership between Carrier and Coolink Ltd, an air-condition service provider in Ghana.
By this, Coolink Ltd has become the sole distributor of Carrier (the world’s largest manufacturer of air-conditions and refrigeration systems present in 172 countries) products in Ghana.
Mr. Elia also announced that Carrier had won a bid to provide air conditioning services in a new museum to be constructed under the striking Egyptian Pyramids in Egypt.
Announcing the new alliance, the Managing Director of Coolink, Mr. Fares Akl indicated that their premium on ensuring that customers are satisfied by not only offering the best sales services but also after sales services, has brought them this new partnership.
He said Carrier had not only succeeded in choosing them as a partner but also “chosen Ghana as the right place to invest its technology” especially because of the energy crisis the country is currently undergoing.
He was optimistic that Carrier products are the most efficient and best options for power saving among the populace.
Ms. Samia Nkrumah, Chairman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) who received a Grand Prix award in Italy recently said as Ghanaians, we need to produce more and acquire better technologies to invest in the country.
She also prayed Carrier to consider establishing an assembling plant in the country in the near future to give jobs to the youth and create stronger bonds between both countries.
Earlier, Coolink launched a world class air condition and refrigeration system to its high range of products and services. Coolink is a subsidiary company of the Hitti Group of Companies including Duraplast, Ashfoam, Qualiplast, and Nesstra.
