Ghana Post Management Pays Courtesy Call On Asantehene

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on the Management of Ghana Post to improve upon their work by creating more services and initiatives to reduce losses so that customers can have trust in them.

According to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Ghana Post was in the past one of the top couriers in the country but declined when Ghana Telecom broke away and therefore advised Ghana Post to arrange and package well to meet the demands of the general public.

The Asantehene made this call when Management of Ghana Post paid a courtesy call on him to introduce their newly-appointed Managing Director, Mr. James Kwoffie to him on Friday at the Manhyia Palace.

He entreated the newly appointed Managing Director to sit down with his management and plan well and at least go into financial services so as to earn more to do projects you have envisaged.

On his part, the new M.D. Mr. James Kwofie said, he and his management came to thank him for good advise he has been giving to Ghana Post.

He told the Asantehene that by three years time, Asanteman as well as Ghana are going to benefit from Ghana post because they are going to bring in some initiatives to generate more funds to train its staff on how to handle customers.

He said, even though the movies that Ghana Post generates at the moment is not enough, he and his Management are trying hard to improve upon the salaries of its staff members, deliver letters as early as possible and also monitor pilfering of parcels. Mr. Kwofie announced that, they are going to refurbish its buildings nationwide to generate more monies to run Ghana Post.
