The Management of EPP Books Services, one of the leading companies for the supply of educational materials in the West African Sub region, led by its Managing Director (MD), Mr. Gibrine Adam, last week, March 20, 2015 donated assorted items worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Alumni Association of the University of Ghana (UG).
The assorted items included, five projectors, five projector screens among others.
The donation last week’s follows an earlier donation of a car, a television set and a fridge to the Alumni Association on February 25, 2015.
The items were presented to the Alumni Association at a colourful ceremony at the university premises in Accra
Presenting the items to the Association, Mrs Millicent Brookman-Amissah, General Manager (GM) of EPP Books Services, said the gesture reaffirms the earlier pledge for continuous support for the activities of the Association.
She said, EPP Books recognizes the important role the Association plays in the management of the University of Ghana, hence her company’s continuous support to the Association.
On his part, Mr. John Attefuah, the General Secretary of the Association, expressed his organization’s surprise at the donation.
He further recalled how the Association was amazed by the earlier donation by the company.
He expressed the Association’s gratitude to the Managing Director and the management of the company.
He said, Mr. Gibrine Adam, who happens to be an alumnus of the University, has shown great support to his alma mater.
He said, the projectors and projector screens, would be used to enhance the activities of the Association.
He said, the Association would not have to rely on the projectors from other departments of the University for its activities.
He promised the Association’s readiness to collaborate with EPP Books for more activities in the future.
He called on other alumni and the corporate institutions from the product of the University to emulate the kind gesture of EPP Books Services.
