Popular airline, Emirates, has given over 50 children the opportunity to watch the movie, “Angry Bird” at a special screening ON Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Silver Bird Cinema at the Accra Mall.
Emirates, which flies to some 150 destinations, has carved a niche for itself in the area of inflight entertainment with state-of-the-art entertainment system.
The airline said, it had to organize the weekend treat to get the children to experience the attention, care and fun they stand to get while flying with the airline.
The obviously excited children who were brought to the cinemas after their parents and guidance won tickets during a phone-in programme on radio got the chance to share their awesome movie experience with a fury Emirates fly with me animal, exclusive to only the airline.
The gesture describe as first “Emirates Kids Movie Weekend” according to Country Manager of Emirates, Hendrik Du Preez, it is hoped will be organized periodically in the coming years.
Mr. Preez said over 4 million children travel with the airline each year, placing young travelers amongst Emirates’ most important customers.
He continued “we know how challenging it can be for parents to keep their children occupied and happy on flights so we’ve ensured that every aspect of the travel experience is catered for, from toys and kids’ entertainment to special meals on board and even special family check-in areas”.
The “Kids Movie Weekend” is in line with Emirates’ many special considerations designed to make family air travel a comfortable experience.
With unique features such as special family check-in desks at the Dubia International Airport, ensuring that families board first, mother and baby rooms at airport lounges and play areas for children, Emirates according to him, has become the best way to travel to Dubai and over 150 destinations while enjoying great products and services.
Some of these great services include, family-oriented entertainment, especially those geared towards young customers for a memorable experience.
The airline with it award winning features, including its world-renowned Information, Communication and Entertainment (ICE), allows travellers of all ages to listen to classics and lots of music, watch latest movies and live television programmes, as well as play games.
Some of the privileged children and parents thanked the airline for entertaining them at no cost. They assured they won’t miss the opportunity to travel with Emirates whenever they need arises.
There were photo opportunities for the kids with officials of the airline and also popcorn and drinks to enjoy the one hour movie.
