The report released by the late Justice Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles popularly known as VCRAC Crabbe Fact Finding and Advisory Committee on Ga Mantse Chieftaincy issue in Ga State of the Greater Accra Region has declared Dr. Nii Tetteh Kwei II as the recognised and legitimate principal Kingmaker to the Ga Paramount Black Stool in the Ga State.

The one hundred and two-pages report reaffirmed that the Ga Paramount Stool and customary power is invested and entrusted in Dr. Nii Tetteh Kwei II to install rightful person from the four royal ruling houses in succession as whose turn to ascend the throne to succeed the late substantive Ga Mantse, Boni Nii Amugi II who died 2004.
The report which was authored by high profile personalities in the Ga State in the persons of Nii Bortei Sango II, Nii Bortei-Doku David, Mr George Mensah, Professor Nii Odartey Mills, Hene Jonathan Dokutse I, Nuumo Ahunu Wulomor, Nii Kwei Okasakpi I, Revered Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, Nii Oquarshie Snr., and Nii Bortey Okplen Dzalesane II was done on the supreme advise of Gborbu Wolumo of Nungua, Wor-Lumor Konor Bortey Laweh Tsuru XXXIII who is recognised at the Traditionl Spiritual Head of the Ga-Dangmes.
The report has authenticated the traditional and customary fact that Dr. Nii Tetteh Kwei II’s position to install King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II from the Teiko Tsuru Royal Ruling House at Ga Mashie in 2015 to ascend the Ga Mantse position holds water, hence cannot be overturned, challenged and questioned by any indigene of the Ga State.
The report which was launched on Wednesday February 27, 2019 clarified the traditional and chieftaincy authority of a Ga Mantse mantle and called on the feuding factions of the four royal ruling houses of Ga Paramount Royal Stool to cease fire in order to forestall peace at Ga Mashie.
The report asserted that the mantle of the Ga Mantse is a symbol of authority from any four royal ruling houses that has possession of it.
According to the report, the holding ruling house must prepare candidates one of which would be chosen as the next royal to ascend unto the throne.
The report pointed out that the handing over of a mantle is done when a new king is taken through rites and rituals and it is given to the next ruling house in succession.
Per the above, the Justice Crabbe report mentioned that the mantle in 1944 was handed over to the next house in succession which was Nii Tackie Komey We.
Following custom and tradition, the report indicated that the mantle in 1948 was handed over to the next ruling house in succession, Amugi We.
Quite recently, the report stated that in 1965 during the installation of Nii Amugi Sorse II from the Amugi Royal House, the mantle was given to the next ruling house being Nii Teiko Tsuru We.
Proceeding, the report affirmed that it is undoubtedly clear that from 1965, Nii Teiko Tsuru Royal House must have been preparing a candidate to hopefully ascend unto the Ga Mantse Stool.
“It is worthy of note that during all these events, Abola Piam was not a Ruling House on its own, but incorporated in Nii Teiko Tsuru We.
“In 1988 the Abola Piam House was confirmed and accepted as a Royal House but it must be noted that, the mantle of the Ga Mantse’s Authority had already been given to Nii Teiko Tsuru We as far back as 1965,” the report explained.
According to the report, this makes it very legitimate for Nii Teiko Tsuru We to propose a candidate to ascend unto the Ga Mantse Black Stool.
It noted that against the knowledge and acceptance that Akropong Division has the right to present two (2) candidates back to ascend unto the Ga Mantse throne, Abola Piam We who did not receive the authority to appoint a Ga Mantse mantle in 1965.
“This is because they (Abola Piam We) were non-existent at that time, still has the opportunity to prepare a suitable candidate to be presented by the Akropong Division after the reign of the Nii Teiko Tsuru Royal House’s candidate.
On the lineage of Ga Mantse King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the report mentioned that Nii Teiko Tsuru We ruled King Tackie Tawiah 1 from 1862 until 1902.
It asserted that Dr. Ebenezer Armah Tackie then Dean of Architecture at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a 4th generation line of King Tackie Tawiah 1.
The report confirmed that Dr. Kelvin Abia Tackie who is a 1st male born of Dr. E. A. Tackie, is a 5th generation son to King Tackie Tawiah l.
According to the report, the Nii Teiko Tsuru Royal Ruling House is made up of three (3) Royal Gates being; Naa Korkoifio We (Female Line),Nii Teiko Doku We (Male Line) and Naa Adarku Ashong We (Female Line).
It explained that the Nii Teiko Tsuru Royal House unilaterally has accepted, confirmed and supports the candidature of their son King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II as this is displayed by the unity, calmness and reign of peace in the Nii Teiko Tsuru family with no finger or so being raised from any quarter against his ascension unto the Ga Royal throne.
It stressed that King Tackie Teiko Tsuru ll is therefore the only substantive Ga Mantse adding that “This brings finality to the Ga Mantse Saga.”
The report called on the feuding factions of the four royal ruling houses in Ga Paramount Stool to abide by the recommendations of the findings of the committee in order to forestall peace and harmony in the Game State.
