The authorities and students of Anyako Senior High School (ANYASCO) in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, are yet to come to terms with
the strange manner in which two heads of the school, died through accident.
The Board Chairmen of the school, His Lordship, Justice Michael Wornya died in a fatal accident, days after the Headmaster, Mr. Moses Dotsey, popularly known as “Vibo” also died through a bizarre car accident.
Surprisingly, several probing questions being asked by many about what might have been the cause for their death still remain unanswered, putting both the staff and students living in fear.
The Head of the school, Mr. Dotsey, was crushed to death by a Sprinter vehicle, with registration number, GS 5062-13, which was travelling from Accra to Aflao on Sunday, December 21, 2013 at about 5.00pm.
The accident, occurred at his village, Kpegagbor near Afife, whiles the Headmaster was returning from a meeting at Abor Roman Catholic Mission and was riding on his motor bike and was about crossing the road to his house.
The Herald gathered from the family sources that, Vibo was preparing to celebrate his 60th birthday before his death, two days to the birthday.
Sadly, however, four days after the burial of the Headmaster, the school’s Board Chairman, Mr. Wornya, was also crushed to death in a similar fashion.
The Board Chairman, a former Judge at Denu/Aflao District Court, was said to have been driving in his private car from Abor to Anyakao.
He was reported to have died instantly, when the car somersaulted several times and hit a nearby building.
Mr. Wornya’s mortal remains, has been deposited at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Abor-Weme.
The students of the school, who spoke with this paper said, both the headmaster and Mr. Wornya were dedicated icons of the school.
Mr. Dotsey, on his part taught and headed various schools including, Atidzive Middle School, Ave-Dakpa Senior High School (AVESCO) and Anyako
SHS where he met his untimely death.
At his burial, a family of the deceased, warned teachers to desist from ridding on motor bikes to prevent such death. People who ply the Accra-Aflao Highway, have been cautioned to be careful of reckless drivers, plying that stretched of road.
A few months ago, a certain motor rider, who was travelling from Togo to Wute, a farming community in the Akatsi South District, was crushed to death in a gory accident by a hiring car at Atidzive Junction.
The accident, was severe to the extent that, the heart of the rider popped out in a nasty bloody scene.
His intestines and other parts of his body were also scattered on the road due to the impact of the accident. The driver of the hiring car survived, with broken legs.
