The National Coordinating Council of United Cadres Front (UCF), a group sympathetic to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has okayed the appointment of Comrade, Peter Anarfi Mensah as the incoming Regional Minister for Ashanti Region.
The United Cadres Front has pledged its unflinching support and loyalty to him and his administration.
‘We are poised to co-operate with him to ensure that all the positive plans and programmes of his administration are carried through for the better development of the people of the Ashanti Region.
The United Cadres Front made this pledge in a statement released in Accra after an annual review meeting held in Kumasi last Saturday.
According to the statement, the meeting reflected on the economic vulnerability of members of the UCF and wishes to appeal to all Senior Cadres capable of providing
some sort of support to vulnerable cadres to assist in their economic empowerment.
The statement expressed dissatisfaction about the delay in enforcing the court ruling in favor of Cadres who were part of the staff of the National Mobilization Programme (NMP) and the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED), who were wrongfully dismissed from their place of work by the NPP administration and called on the Sole Commissioner to release his recommendations on the matter for urgent payment of compensation.
The statement signaled the party hierarchy about the fact that 2016 election although seem far away, is just at the corner and called on them to commence serious business
‘We therefore call on all stakeholders including past and immediate executives to get on board’.
The statement further expressed its disappointment bout the misunderstandings and disputes between some appointees, Members of Parliament and Party executives in the regions, Constituencies and called for an urgent intervention of the national executive committee of the party to resolve all such differences before it degenerates.
