…..With Door –To –Door Campaign Ahead Of 2016 Parliamentary Race

Selling activities at the Madina municipality of the La-Nkwantang Municipal Assembly (LAdMA), was brought to a standstill on Wednesday July 22, when Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface, the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Madina Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), visited the market area as part of the “market day activities”
Alhaji Bonface, in the company of the immediate past NPP parliamentary candidate for the Constituency, James Amoah, and host of party Constituency executives and party elders, interacted with the market folks.
The campaign tour, took the former Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing under ex-President John Agyekum Kufour, led administration to various sectors of the market.
The visit which lasted almost a whole day, took the party supporters to the offices of the Divisional Police Command, Market Women Association, Association of Butchers, Charcoal Sellers Association, and Pepper Millers Association.
The visit also afforded onlookers in the market the opportunity to interact with the PC.
The market women in welcoming the PC’s entourage, amidst the shouting of ‘this time; “Wo Ma Tsake Mlin” literally meaning, we will change this time, threatened to show the sitting Member of Parliament (MP), Alhaji Amadu Sorogho and also Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Energy, the exit next year.
According to them, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP, has failed the constituents, hence the need for change.
“Madina market has nothing to show for, as one of fastest growing markets in the region, the facilities in the market are outmoded causing fire outbreaks”
Addressing the women, Alhaji Boniface, took the opportunity to thank the leadership of the market women for the overwhelmingly welcoming him.
He reminded them that, the mission was not about any political party and personalities, but a mission to move Madina forward and ensure Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo –Addo, wins the 2016 presidential election. He said, he joined the race for parliament, because of his love for humanity, and particularly the people of Madina.
“I have lived in this area for the past thirty years and I cannot turn my back on you if you honour me with your votes”.
He called on them to work hard to bring the NPP back to power to continue with the good works of ex-president John Agyekum Kuffour.
Earlier, the PC joined the Madina Chief, Ahaji Baba Siedu, at the Madina Islamic school to offer Moslems for a successful Ramadan.
Offering prayers after the successful thirty-day fasting, Mallam Abdallah, the Iman at the school’s mosque in the presence of the sitting MP, called on the members of the congregation to remember the good works of Alhaji Boniface, when he was the Northern Regional Minister and later Minister of Water Resources, works and Housing.
He said, the ex-president recognized the leadership qualities in him and rewarded him with a Cabinet Ministerial appointment in his administration.
He stressed the need for the constituents to take advantage of the leadership qualities of Alhaji Boniface, and reward him by making him the MP for the area, come 2016.
As part of identifying opinion leaders, the PC, further joined the Muslims community of Adenta New site to pray, where he later met the leadership of the Mamprusi Community in the area.
The Constituency executives were led by the Constituency chairman, Michael Mckenzie, First vice Chairman, Kaseem Anyass, Foster, Constituency Organiser, Youth organizer, Michael Fordjour and Deputy Organizer, Aminu Gado.
The rest are, Issa Ibrahim, Constituency Nassara Coordinator, Alhaji Rahim Rasheed, aspiring Assembly Member for the electoral area and Dorcas Adjei, Deputy Women Organizer for the Constituency.
