“ANAS’ Throat Would Have Been Slashed”

Fresh Video Of Kennedy Agyapong Emerges

Although, doubts remain about the role of Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) in the Columbia-style gruesome murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a key member of the private investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI, The Herald, has obtained fresh video of the legislator, wishing death for the slain journalist’s boss; Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In the 42-second video, Kennedy Agyapong on Adom TV’s Badwam Current Affairs, insisted Anas was not clean, was a thief who goes about setting up people in places like Dubai, extorting monies and using the monies to buy items for his wife to sell.

Using gestures, a very angry Kennedy Agyapong, gesticulated that Anas’ throat would have been slashed for what he does.

The earlier video which started making the wave shortly after the murder last Wednesday was made from Kennedy Agyapong’s NET2 Television studio, where he had gone berserk over the Number 12 video by Tiger Eye PI, which brought down Kwesi Nyantakyi from his position as President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on June 7, 2018, a position he held from  December 30, 2005.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP, also accused Anas of failing to pay the appropriate taxes on the items he brings into the country for sale by his wife.

The programme which was hosted by Omanhene Kwabena Asante in the heat on the Number 12 video by Tiger Eye PI on the corruption in the administration of football in African countries, including Ghana, also had Former Central Region Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, as a co-panelist.

Attempts by Omanhene Kwabena Asante to control the MP’s effusions failed to yield any fruit, as he threatened many times to walkout from the programme, if he is not allowed to pour out his vituperations on Anas.

On the Adom TV video, he declared his respect for Anas’ boss Kweku Baako, the Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide, and asked him to be very careful in the defense of his boy and what he does by way of journalism.

Already, the Assin Central MP, has been questioned by the Police CID over last Wednesday night’s gruesome murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale,

Ahmed, described by family and work colleagues as an affable young man ready always to lend a hand, was gunned down in his car Wednesday night at Madina in Accra by two ride-by shooters. They shot him three times, killing him instantly.

The police’s questioning of the NPP MP is in relation to a video circulating on various social media platforms in which, Mr Agyapong, is purported to have called on the public to assault Ahmed, the now slain journalist who is an associate of Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In excerpts of the viral video, Mr Ken Agyapong, who appears to be on a show on his television station, NET2 Television, displayed pictures of Ahmed, and described him as a dangerous man and told viewers that he lived in Madina.

Mr Agyapong, is also heard in the widely circulated video, charging the public to assault Ahmed and that he was ready to pay for the consequences.

When contacted, the Director General of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr David Eklu, confirmed that the police had interviewed Mr Agyapong.

However, he said Mr Agyapong, who has already denied any link to the murder, told the police that the video which was in circulation was not a true representation of what he said as it was not the full version.

Mr Eklu, said the police have, therefore, requested NET2 Television to submit the full version of the video to the police for its analysis.

Meanwhile, the Accra Regional Police Command, has appealed to the public to volunteer information that would lead to the arrest of the suspected killers of Ahmed.

They have also mounted a manhunt for the unknown assailants, who were on an unregistered motorbike.

the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Accra Regional Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mrs. EffiaTenge, said the police control room received information at about 10pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 about the shooting.

Two unknown men allegedly shot the associate of the private investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI, while he was driving near the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Madina Estate, in the Greater Accra region.

When a police patrol team went to the scene they found Ahmed in a BMW saloon car with registration number AS 1928-Q with bullet wounds on him.

According to Mrs Tenge, an eye witness told the police that Ahmed was shot three times through the driver side of the car. He was taken to the Pentecost Hospital, Madina for treatment, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Ahmed was buried last Friday in keeping with Islamic tradition.
