Akufo-Addo Missing On Political Radar

Wife Takes Over Wobbling Campaign

With barely three months to the December 7, presidential elections, the wife of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has seen a vacuum in her husband’s campaign, and practically taken over, insisting the one district-one factory promised by her spouse, would save Ghanaians.

Nana Addo, has been missing from the campaign radar for well over two weeks now, after his return from the Northern Region and his subsequent secret trip to London and back.

The NPP is at its poorest state of unity- insiders say the party is divided beyond repairs. Also, there is also no cash to run the 2016 campaign and above all, Nana Addo, has not been in good state of health, thus keeping him away from many campaign engagement, forcing his wife and Running Mate, Dr. Bawumia, to do the rigorous leg work for him.

Interacting with the residents of La Nakuton Shishi in the La Dadekotopon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, said Nana Akufo-Addo, could easily implement the one district-one factory policy to provide employment for unemployed Ghanaians.

This was after together with some Constituency executives and party bigwigs, she spent time with the inhabitants to know some of the problems they are faced with as a result of the “bad governance by the incompetent NDC government.”

She spoke about what she described as the message of ultimate change and hope, emphasising that they need to help make the change which is being anticipated by Ghanaians, a reality.

Mrs. Akufo-Addo, said instead of entertaining corruption and allowing taxpayers’ money to be squandered by some few individuals like what is currently surfacing under the leadership of President John Mahama,”We would use the money together with our adequate and skillful human capital to pragmatically enhance our policy formulation,” she said.

One of those who accompanied her was the Parliamentary Candidate for La Dadekotopon Constituency, Vincent Odotei Sowah, who told residents they needed to vote for change.

He said, the NPP was noted for job creation and when they are given the opportunity, they would create more jobs for Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, Mustapha Hamid, Spokesperson of Nana Akufo-Addo, has described as reckless and unfortunate the conduct of some supporters of National Democratic Congress (NDC), who carried a coffin and put Nana Addo’s poster on it at the party’s manifesto launch in Sunyani, obviously to mock the NPP and its flagbearer.

The carrying of coffin at political campaign rallies, has become a very common practice, ostensibly to mock opponents, but it does not symbolize the death of an individual.

Indeed, the NDC, has also said they would retire Nana Addo this year, to kill his dreams of leading the country.

However, his spokesperson saw things differently and angrily took to his facebook wall, “Until we raise our game as young people in active politics, politicians will never respect us. Mahama, brought these young guys to his manifesto launch; all he could do was to ask them to engage in this. Find a coffin and put Nana Addo’s poster on it and exhibit such crass buffoonery.

Elsewhere young people are playing key roles in political campaigns in formulating policies to provide alternative direction to build their nations.

In the NDC the young people are trained to be dispensable buffoons- used and dumped and used again when it is elections. I bet 100 percent of these guys are jobless. Even after carrying this coffin, they’ll leave Sunyani jobless.

How many times haven’t the NDC, pronounced Nana Addo dead, and how many times has God proven to them that He alone decides who lives and who dies?

The NDC, will never learn. Instead of finding ways to retrieve the DKM monies from Lordina to pay those poor customers, they waste time on praying Nana dies. I now understand why the rains came”
