To cater for the needs of customers and workers of HFC Bank, a subsidiary of Republic Bank Financial Holdings limited, has opened a new branch at the plush Adjiriganno area of Accra.
This comes to forty –two, the total number of branches operated by the bank in eight out of the ten Regions of the country.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the new branch in the area Mr. Robert Le Hunt, Managing Director of HFC Bank, saidthe opening of the branch, forms part of the new focus of the bank after its acquisition by the Republic Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.
We believe, banking should be made accessible, hence the need to bring banking to the door steps of our existing customers he explained.
According to him, the branch is a modern one designed to make the banking experience comfortable and stress free for customers and staff.
He noted that, the bank’s pool of branches puts it in the top ten banks in the country in terms of branch distribution.
He added that, last year was an amazing year for the bank and this year promises to be an even more exciting.
We kicked off last year with intensive training sessions for staff which was designed to equip them to better serve our customers.
He said, the bank also decentralized the mortgage sector within the bank and made it available in all the 42 branches of the bank.
He gave the assurance that from beginning of this year all customers of the bank can access mortgage facilities from anywhere in the country.
It is the vision of Republic Bank Limited of Trinidad and Tobago for HFC Bank to set standards of excellence in the Corporate Social Responsibility.
This year our branches will be involved in community projects with high level of staff volunteerism to improve and affect the communities in which we operate he said.
Mr. Nigel Baptiste, Managing Director of Republic Bank, the mother company of HFC Bank on behalf of the Board and Management of the bank congratulated Ghanaians on the celebrations of the 59 years of independence.
He maintained that the Republic Bank takes great pride in the shared heritage and history of the country as well as the long time existing friendship.
He said, Republic Bank with over 177 years of experience in the banking sector in the Caribbean, would continue to be a force to reckon with in the sector.
He explained that it was the ultimate goal of the Republic Bank to keep HFC Bank at the forefront of its financial sector business in the country.
He noted that the bank’s investment focus was consistent with the country’s long term growth strategy and committed to working with Ghana to unlock economic opportunities.
