Three Rectors from ten regional polytechnics in Ghana namely; Accra Poly, Kumasi Poly and Koforidua
Polytechnic would receive an honoured award in South Africa.
The event which will be held from January 29 to February 5, 2015, is in recognition with their “immense
contribution to the development of polytechnic education in Ghana”.
The award will be conferred on them by respected South African –based organization; International
Institute for Governance and Development (IIGD) and will be attended by various guests and dignitaries
from the continent.
West African Executive Director of IIGD Ghana, Rev. Dr. Godin Davids confirmed the award ceremony to
The Herald from his superior in South Africa, Madam Fallon Ntimane said the rectors would be awarded
together with institutions.
The of the rectors include; Accra Poly, Dr. Sylvester Achio, Kumasi Poly, Prof Nicolas Nsowah Nuamah
and the Koforidua Polytechnic rector, Prof Reynolds Okai.
They would also be given the “African Prize for Innovation, Integrity and Development” for their selfless
dedication to public service.
